COVID and Masks
Masks are no longer required in healthcare settings by law, however, the risk to staff and patients is still tangible.
Therefore the practice is following the below rules regarding mask wearing.
Patients are advised that we strongly recommend that they wear a mask whilst in the waiting areas
Any clinician seeing a patient face to face will insist masks are worn during the consultation.
We still have a responsibility to our patients and to our staff. COVID is far from over and as ever we want to protect staff and patients as much as possible from suffering from COVID if it is preventable. Remember that wearing a mask is not just to keep you safe as the mask wearer. If you had COVID but were asymptomatic, social distancing, mask-wearing and good infection control procedure could prevent that infection being passed on to other staff or patients.
